When and When Not To Use NOLOCK

To NOLOCK or Not to NOLOCK... That is the question. Lots of developers who don't fully understand the requirements of their application or how NOLOCK works will indiscriminately add NOLOCK to all of the SQL queries. But doing so isn't always the best decision.

Brent Ozar describes some times when it is beneficial to use NOLOCK and times where it isn't the right choice.
